US-China relations: President Xi making first state visit to US in more than a decade

Chinese President Xi Jinping is due to touch down on US soil, ahead of a three-day state visit. US President Donald Trump is expected to turn out in person to welcome his Chinese counterpart at Joint Base Andrews just outside Washington DC.
