Malaysian PM Anwar advises transport minister to reconsider intention to resign

Malaysia's Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has advised his transport minister to rethink his request to resign from Cabinet. Anthony Loke offered to step down after the party he leads held a meeting of its central executive committee on the weekend. He was responding to a conditional pardon granted to former prime minister Najib Razak that would allow him to serve what remains of his sentence at home.
