The Land Transport and Related Matters (No. 2) Bill strengthens Singapore's road safety response to the changing way in which mobility devices are bought and sold, and creates regulatory space for technologies that may fundamentally change how people and goods move around Singapore, said MP Sharael Taha. But good regulation requires the need to do three things at the same time, he said in parliament on Wednesday (Oct 7). These are the need to be firm and proportionate where the overwhelming majority are legitimate users and businesses, as well as leave enough room for innovation.
