Malaysia's Negeri Sembilan state has officially sworn in Ismail bin Lasim as chief minister, after Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) won a decisive state election victory. The oath-taking ceremony was held before Negeri Sembilan's ruler. The 67-year-old veteran UMNO politician previously served in the state government and was most recently the state's education and human capital executive councillor.
