France turns to air-conditioning as temperatures top 40°C

France is in the midst of its third heatwave of the year, with temperatures in parts of the country again breaching the 40-degree Celsius mark. France is infamous for its longstanding opposition to air conditioning. But growing numbers of politicians are now calling for cooling units to be introduced nationwide in schools, hospitals, and care homes. Ross Cullen filed this report for CNA from Paris.
